Appearing is a member of the 101st Armored Hunter Battalion wearing the <Type 34 Special Add-on Armor> from the radio drama "Cerberus: The Steel Hound," which was written, directed, and based on a story by Mamoru Oshii, with model sculpting by Takayuki Takeya and Eisaku Kito, masters of the sculpting world! The "Type 34 Special Add-on Armor" is protective gear worn by the German Army's 101st Armored Hunter Battalion during World War II. Originally formed as a ceremonial unit directly under the dictator, the 101st Armored Hunter Battalion was treated as a nuisance and a "cursed armored soldier" after the dictator's death, and was deployed to the fierce battle zones of the Eastern Front. Standing approximately 33 centimeters tall and featuring over 30 points of articulation, this figure brilliantly recreates a member of the 101st Armored Hunter Battalion wearing the Type 34 Special Enhanced Armor, reminiscent of Western armor and considered the origin of all Protect Gear appearing in the "Kerberos Saga." Two heads are included: the first is equipped with a mask shaped like a "dog," and features an LED light-up gimmick that makes the eyes glow red, a characteristic of Protect Gear. The second is a head showing the Armored Hunter's bare face without the mask, and each one is hand-painted to reproduce the texture of the skin and wrinkles. The unique shape of the armor is further enhanced with newly developed painting techniques to pursue a metallic feel, reproducing the heavy feel of Protect Gear with astonishing accuracy. The chainmail worn inside the armor is made of fabric so as not to hinder the range of motion. The field radio mounted on the rear rack and the machine gun magazines are intricately detailed. The ammunition belt extending from the magazines can be attached to the machine gun. The set includes an MG34 machine gun and a Mauser C96 pistol. The diorama-style base, inspired by the base used by Mr. Takeya and Mr. Kito when they created their models, recreates a city scene with scattered masks and helmets of fallen soldiers, shell casings on cobblestones, and crumbling brick walls. This special edition allows you to fully immerse yourself in the world of the series. This is the ultimate collaboration item between Hot Toys and top Japanese creators. "Kerberos: The Steel Hound" (2006-) A radio drama set on the Russian front during World War II, with original story, screenplay, and direction by Mamoru Oshii, and set in a historically inaccurate version. It is one of the works in the so-called "Kerberos Saga," which has been developed over approximately 20 years in live-action films, manga, and anime. In the past, it depicted a fictional elite unit feared under the name "Kerberos" in postwar Japan, but the radio drama version shifts the setting to the German-Soviet war during World War II, and depicts the true nature of the mysterious special unit from the perspective of a member of the German Army Propaganda Company's press corps. In 1942, Captain Maki Stauffenberg, a female officer in the German Army Propaganda Company, is given a mission. Her mission is to film the mysterious "101st Panzerjehrer Battalion," a unit possessing overwhelming combat power, and complete the documentary "Cerberus: The Steel Hound." Seeking to capture the image of the Panzerjehrers, once a ceremonial unit directly under the dictator and now reviled as the "cursed armored soldiers," she embarks on a journey to Stalingrad, the site of the fierce battles on the Eastern Front, known as the largest land battle in history.
