[Product Introduction] Hot Toys' "Movie Masterpiece" series welcomes the iconic science fiction film, Star Wars! From Episode II: Attack of the Clones, R2-D2 appears in a special package featuring the 20th anniversary logo! The astromech droid R2-D2 is a versatile robot equipped with an advanced electronic brain and a wide range of functions. When his masters, Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala, headed to Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi, their protocol droid C-3PO was transformed into a battle droid. To save his unfortunate companion, R2-D2 uses all of his abilities to charge into battle. R2-D2 as he appears in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones has been recreated as a high-end 1/6 scale figure, standing approximately 18 cm tall with over 10 points of articulation. The dome-shaped head is made of alloy to faithfully reproduce the texture seen in the film. The striking exterior, featuring a white, blue, and metallic silver color scheme, boasts meticulous attention to texture and detail, resulting in an exquisitely crafted finish down to the smallest detail. Industry-leading painting techniques have been used to create weathering effects such as dirt and scratches. The third leg located on the underside of the body can be retracted into the body's interior. Eight locations are equipped with LED lighting functions, including the logic circuit activation display on the head, the holographic projector, and the processor operation indicator lamp. Furthermore, it has a built-in talking gimmick that emits 14 different R2-D2 sounds. The lighting and sound can be switched ON/OFF with the included remote control. The head panel can be opened and closed, allowing the periscope arm stored in the head to be extended. Opening another head panel allows for the attachment of the life-sign detection antenna and arms included as accessories. The body panels can also be opened and closed, allowing for the attachment of nine different work arms, including a computer interface arm, a small rotary saw, and a grip arm. As accessories, it comes with C-3PO's head rescued from the battlefield, a wire for towing the head, detachable rocket thrusters on both legs, and effect parts for the rocket thrusters. A great feature is that you can recreate a flying pose by attaching the effect parts to the thruster nozzles and using the included display stand! R2-D2, who played a crucial role despite his small size in "Episode II: Attack of the Clones," which celebrated its 20th anniversary, is featured in this special package from Hot Toys, a must-have item you absolutely can't miss!
