[Product Introduction] Hot Toys' "Movie Masterpiece" series welcomes the blockbuster sci-fi film "Star Wars" to its lineup. The versatile astromech droid, R2-D2, appears in a deluxe version! The small, circular astromech droid R2-D2 is a general-purpose robot primarily designed for operating electronic equipment. Despite its compact body, its advanced electronic brain and abundant equipment allow it to perform a variety of tasks, including piloting spaceships, repairing machinery, and storing a vast amount of memory. Even in dangerous situations, it remains loyal and brave in its missions, diligently supporting its master, displaying a rich emotional range and endearing personality. R2-D2, as it appears in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, has been brought to life as a high-end 1/6 scale figure, standing approximately 18 cm tall with over 10 points of articulation. The striking white, blue, and metallic silver coloring of the exterior is enhanced with weathering paintwork for a weighty and realistic finish. The dome-shaped head faithfully reproduces the texture from the film by using "alloy" for 60% of its construction. The third leg located on the underside of the body can be retracted into the body. Eight locations on the head, including the logic circuit activation display, holographic projector, and processor operation indicator lamp, are equipped with LED light-up functions. Furthermore, it has a built-in talking gimmick that emits 14 different R2-D2 sounds. The lights and sounds can be switched ON/OFF with the included remote control. The head panel can be opened and closed, and the periscope arm stored in the head can be extended. Opening another head panel allows for the attachment of accessories such as the life-sign detection antenna and Luke Skywalker's lightsaber. The body panels can also be opened and closed, and 10 different work arms can be attached, including a computer interface arm, a small rotary saw, and a grip arm. Accessories include a data card with the Death Star blueprints that can be inserted into the forehead, a mini lamp with LED light-up function that can be attached to the front of the body, and a control bolt. The control bolts have built-in magnets, allowing the body panels to open and close smoothly. Furthermore, it comes with two Princess Leia hologram figures, each approximately 6-7 cm tall, and features a dedicated LED-lit base – a welcome bonus! With both standing and crouching poses, you can recreate iconic scenes from *Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope*. Packed with gimmicks and accessories that recreate the original *Star Wars* trilogy in meticulous detail, this R2-D2 is truly the ultimate, definitive edition! Keep an eye out for future releases in Hot Toys' *Star Wars* series!
