Brief Introduction Otto Carius was a German armored trooper and tank commander, renowned for his outstanding combat record, having destroyed over 150 enemy tanks and approximately 130 artillery pieces, most of which were achieved on the Eastern Front. He is particularly celebrated for the "Battle of Malinava" on July 22, 1944, in which he annihilated 17 Soviet tanks in just a few minutes with only two Tiger tanks! Throughout his military career, Otto Carius commanded the 38 light tank, the Tiger heavy tank, and the Jagdtiger tank destroyer. His heroic conduct and exceptional combat achievements have made him a legendary figure in World War II history.
